Kraft MilkBites: Completely yummy – and good for you, too

There’s a reason why Kraft MilkBites Milk and Granola Bars are sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery store – each bar contains the same amount of calcium as a glass of milk (hence the name.) They also don’t have any of those bad-for-you-things like artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Yep, these are not only good for you, but all-natural as well! These granola bars are softer than their standard, regular-section of the store counterparts, making them not only easier to eat, but also more enjoyable. (I don’t know about you, but some granola bars make me feel like I’m going to lose a filling trying to chew them – which isn’t the case AT ALL with these.)

I was recently given the chance to try out two of their flavors  – chocolate and strawberry. The chocolate ones had chocolate chips in them, as well as a chocolate drizzle coating over the top of the bar, while the strawberry ones have bits of strawberries and a drizzle of vanilla frosting. Both were equally good — although I give the chocolate ones a slightly higher rating. (I love chocolate.)

In both cases, the granola didn’t overpower either flavoring, making these a tasty choice for people who need the additional nutrients (protein, as well as calcium). Since they can easily be thrown into an insulated bag, Kraft MilkBites are easy to transport. And who doesn’t need a mid-day, post-lunch, pre-dinner snack?

My recommendation? Stop buying standard granola bars that are filled with preservatives and who-knows-what, and go for these. I’m making the switch, since they’re perfect for my aforementioned afternoon snack.

Kraft MilkBites Milk and Granola Bars are available at grocery stores nationwide.
